Laminated Glass

Laminated glass is two or more panes of glass separated and bonded by interlayers. The panes can be any type of glass, but the commonest is float glass.

 

Laminated glass can be described by the number of plies, eg 3 ply is 2 panes + 1 interlayer. With the recent acquisition of a laminating kiln to our processing plant, we can laminate designs in the interlayers for aesthetic purposes or for partial obscurity for privacy.

Extra Safety
With the introduction of a laminating kiln to the plant at Fireglass Direct we now are producing toughened laminated glass for ballustrading and other areas needing the extra safety requirement. This allows us to help our clients meet demands on sites as our supply chain is in house, and deadlines can be met without compromise.
